If this is your first visit, welcome. I hope you will find something of interest here.
A bit about me...will try not to bore you.
You may have gathered by the address that I reside in the UK. I have been resident here for 20 years. Prior to that I lived in what is now Zimbabwe. That should explain some of my linkswith the 'dark continent'. I work within the aviation industry, for a company called Air Foyle. (Their website found via the conservatory) We reside in a village approximately 30 miles north of London. I am still experimenting with web page construction so will apologise now if you have already fallen asleep!
Our Newest Addition to the Family
ADD/ADHD
For those of you that are not familiar with these abbreviations they stand for Attention Deficient Disorder or Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder. Either way it is not pleasant for a person who has this in their lives to contend with, or if you are on the receiving end. You cannot begin to image the level of frustration which causes outbursts which can be quite violent at times. Our experience has shown that as controversial as the medication Ritalin is, without it matters could be far worst. This mediation has been a lifesaver when compared to how things were before. We are still learning now to deal with ADD, and quite frequently get it wrong! There are some brilliant sites on the net that can offer all sorts of help & advice, along with a weekly chat session. Links can be found in the conservatory.
Music
My taste in music is quite varied, from conventional pop to jazz. One of my favourite groups at the moment is the Corrs. It also appears that we have an up and coming pop star in the family. My step-daughter Rachel apart from playing the saxophone, has a very good singing voice. She currently spends her Sundays practising with a group, name yet to be decided on.
