Obviously better know as Ash the unfortunate lodger in an Evil woodland cabin in the Evil Dead series directed by long time Coen buddy (and sometime Coen co-writer and cameo role player), Sam Raimi. Since I first saw the Evil Dead I have kept a keen eye on Campbell's career from the sequels to said movie, to Manic Cop, to his cameo at the end of Darkman, to Congo, to Escape From L.A. and I cannot wait to see him in the sequel to Tarantino and Rodriquez's From Dusk Till Dawn, Texas Blood Money (formerly The Hangman's Daughter I do believe). Two appearances in Coen films qualify him an entry in this section even though one was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it part as soap opera actor on a tiny TV in a room in Fargo. His first role in a Coen Brothers pic was as Smitty in The Hudsucker Proxy ("Hey, what gives?") playing a second rate reporter opposite Jennifer Jason Leigh's award winning reporter, Amy Archer. He plays the role in such a typically comedic way and has the ability to make me laugh just by being Bruce Campbell. You gotta love him.
