I started this list in 1999 as I was receiving a number of e-mails, asking specific
questions, about Humax models of which I had no personal experience. Rather than try to
answer these questions, mostly in an unsatisfactory manner, I thought that a mail group
would mean that that it was more likely that the correct answer could be given by
someone else in the group. Up to now, this has proved to be the case, and the mail group
has been a great success, with over 550 members from Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia
(Jan 2001).
It is there to provide a forum for the posting of questions, problems and information
about the Humax range of Digital Satellite Receivers and Decoders.
There is no advertising allowed(other than from the sponsor, eGroups, and that is just a
couple of lines at the bottom), and definately NO SPAM. If such things start to happen then
I will unsubscribe the offenders, or take what ever action I can to prevent it happening.
That said, the group is run very much 'hands-off' and I have only 'interfered' on a few
occasions and have always been open to criticism if others thought that I was wrong.
