Humax F1-VACI
New Software Releases for the F1-VACI models are only available direct from Humax.
You will need to be registered with the HCSA (Humax Customer Support Area), on the site
before you can download the Viacces software. This is a restriction put onto Humax by
France Telecom, who own the rights to the Viaccess method of encryption.
I do not believe that your details will be used for any 'bad' purpose as a result of
registering with the HCSA. This is the olny safe way to obtain the software for the Viaccess
models.
The following information was supplied by Ken Owen, from Manchester. I do NOT own one of
these, while I will try to answer any queries, I do not have personal experience of this
box.
The software comes out as VC 1.00.19 - 12 Feb 99, and still has the 100 bouquet problem.
Also, some type of memory problem when nearing the bouquet limit. This shows up as channel
names reduced, showing the first two characters only. Clearing space and re-scaning the
bouquet is the only remedy. Lets hope a decent setting editor appears!
