Community Schools Service.

The National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the UK has appointed the CSS (Community Schools Service) to be responsible for organising and overseeing the Bahá’í education of children and youth throughout the UK.

CHILDREN AT FERRABY BAHA'I SCHOOL

The CSS not only promotes, assists and monitors the 13 Community Schools around the country, but all the children’s classes and junior youth activity groups or peace clubs as well.

In 1996 the CSS published the National Bahá’í Curriculum ‘Waiting Upon the Blessed Beauty’ and some schools now have programmes of study based upon it’s framework of attainment targets and strands. Others will no doubt follow as more syllabi derived from the curriculum become available. At present there is one available, using themes, called ‘O God Guide Me’.This thematic syllabus uses alot of the IHSP (In Home Study Programme) and a list of the contents of the IHSP is on this site.

Click Browse Curriculum to view a small part of the National Bahá’í Curriculum at a time.

BE PREPARED TO WAIT IF YOU WISH TO LOAD ALL THE National Bahá’í Curriculum AT ONCE (from which you could copy to a local disk and print or browse off-line at leisure, e.g. if using Internet Explorer, click 'Save As File' in the 'File' menu, then select folder and type in a name for the file before clicking 'Save') BECAUSE IT IS A VERY LARGE FILE!

When HOMEappears on any other page, you may click it to return to this home page.

More pages, and links to other Bahá’í websites, will be added to this site during the next few months. This page was set up on 28-6-99 and amended on 22-7-99.
