We see a one bedroom flat packed solid with furniture. DIRK: It's your grandmother's fault. She's ruined the whole plan with her wretched mausoleum! (she gave them a huge, gaudy piano) SHEILA: Don't blame Granny for your lack of sales assistance. DIRK: Well I told you we had too much stuff. SHEILA: We HAVEN'T got too much stuff! We've got to eat haven't we? (Dirk nods) Sleep? (Dirk nods) Sit down? (Dirk nods) Well what have we got that we shouldn't have? DIRK: The one roomed flat! MOVERS: Mind your backs. DIRK: Oh no! (He clamps his hand over his eyes) Two foreman carry through a large kitchen cabinet. MOVERS: One kitchen cabinet. SHEILA: Ooh Tony, move the lamp and the hat stand. DIRK: Move them where? SHEILA: Don't ask me where darling, SOMEwhere. Dirk moves them both. The movers put the cabinet down and disappear. SHEILA: Now then, open the cabinet doors and see if I can pass. DIRK: Pass where? SHEILA: To the kitchen! Dirk opens the cabinet doors and flaps wide open. DIRK: I'm locked in, I can't get out, I'm like a sheep in a pen! He slams the doors of the cabinet. SHEILA: Well you'll have to stay there until I can find out if I can get through to the kitchen! She squeezes past. SHEILA: I can. Just. DIRK: Hmm, now see if you can get to the fire! SHEILA: Its perfectly simple. She walks over to the fire, he follows and the cabinet begins to fall on him. DIRK: Blast! He pushes it back, slams all the doors, pulls out a drawer and chucks it across the table. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
